It's time for Nobama

Welcome to the March 6, 2009 edition of the Nobama blog carnival.

This Nobama edition is later than originally planned; my apologies for the delay.

We are facing a crucial time for America. Our liberties, our values, the lives of the vulnerable among us, and now our finances are at stake. It's a time for those who care about our country to speak out, to keep up the struggle.

We have another good lineup of commentary this time, covering the economy, big government, racial perspective, and even Obama's cell phone. Thanks to our contributors and readers, and remember to contribute to Nobama if you blog. Godspeed to all patriots!

Maintaining Liberty

Curry Kenworthy presents Never give in posted at Curry Kenworthy: "Remember who you are: a free citizen of the American Republic, not a slave and worshipper of a liberal empire."

Presidential Race

Jon Chambers presents Blind Loyalty posted at The Mind Of Jon: "I believe that too many people voted for Obama based on his race, and those are a handful of the people that I believe fall into my category of being blindly loyal."

Change Game

Matthew Roberts presents The Government of Change posted at Pretend You Read the News: "Victimization, it seems, is the surest way to political power."

Fashion Risks

Sarah Scrafford presents The Ultimate Guide to the Ultimate Blackberry (Obama's) posted at Masters in Criminal Justice: "security officials started to wonder at the problems having a president with an open e-mail account and Crackberry habit would start, in terms of privacy and national security vulnerability."

Economic Mayhem

Lance Cooper presents Obama's Stimulus Plan Is A Complete Joke posted at Recession Thoughts: "The president's stimulus plan is nothing more than government waste, and government waste will not 'pump prime' the economy into recovery."

Wenchypoo presents And So It Begins…Again posted at Wisdom From Wenchypoo's Mental Wastebasket: "Do you feel like you’re in a Depression?"

Government Gone Wild

Wenchypoo presents The Pelosi-tariat and the Totalitarian Temptation posted at Wisdom From Wenchypoo's Mental Wastebasket: "Even though Communism has proven to be an ultimate and dismal economic failure, some politicians and academics cling to the belief that they are superior to you, know more than you, are smarter than you, and can make better decisions for you than you yourself."

Wenchypoo presents The Law of Unintended Consequences Part 4 posted at Wisdom From Wenchypoo's Mental Wastebasket: "Is this not slavery? Sure, no crops are being planted and harvested, but the seeds of dependence are sown and the political harvesters come along every two-four years to bale their contributions and votes, and haul them to market."

Until Next Time...

Awaiting the Anointed One

Welcome to the January 11, 2009 edition of Nobama Blog Carnival.

As the media and the Left joyfully await the blessed reign of the Anointed One, here's another round of insightful commentary from the anti-Obama regions of the blogosphere. A hearty thanks and a happy new year to our readers and contributors.

Economy

Here we examine the unprecedentedly big numbers being considered in Obama's economic plans, along with other financial considerations. Don't miss the chart showing how much you'll owe over the next few decades!

Bill Spohnholtz presents Bailout Bazooka posted at Learn The Stock Market And How to Trade: "The number 1 trillion dollars has been thrown around for the total cost of Obama’s economic stimulus plan."

The Whited Sepulchre presents On The Inconvenience Of Prosperity posted at The Whited Sepulchre: "Is there anything that would be more harmful to the next White House resident than a nice long economic boom? Prosperity is a huge inconvenience to those who want to change the world."

Raymond presents My Stock Market and Real Estate Predictions For Year 2009 posted at Money Blue Book: "Obama's economic policy is not going to revive the economy."

Bill OConnell presents Keep the Change posted at libertyslifeline.com: "Here is where Obama’s lack of executive experience is on full display, and the man is yet to take office."

And here's an amazing story of big plans on the public tab.

Traci Hayner Vanover presents Edwardsville, Alabama: They'll Leave the Light on For 'Ya posted at Shoe Tossing - Conservative News & Commentary - On the Heels of Liberal Lunacy: "And it won’t cost them nearly as much as you’d think -- especially if their wish for $375 million from the economic stimulus package is granted."

Racial factors

Political issues in black and white.

Curry Kenworthy presents Liberal fantasies and racial elections posted at Curry Kenworthy: "Some liberals are worried that Obama will be assassinated because he is black. What part does racism really play in today's political situation, and why do conservatives actually oppose Obama?"

Congress

This commentary was written while the Blagojevich situation was building up.

U.S. Common Sense presents Blagojevich and Democrats on Collision Course posted at U.S. Common Sense: "The Senate Democrats have vowed to block Burris from being seated. Blagojevich believes they won't be successful. Who will win this face-off?"

Cult of Charisma

Anyone out there afraid of charismatic leaders with obsessed, uncritical followers?

Cristy Li presents GMA Guest: "The One" Best Represented Teachings Of Jesus. Huh? posted at Cristy Li: "Rev. Ed Dobson who never voted for a Democrat claims that he spent a year in quiet meditation and believed 'The One' was closer to Jesus."

T. presents Deconstructing Obama, Pt. 2: 48 Laws of Obama posted at The Rawness: "This is part 2 of an ongoing series dedicated to piecing together a plausible personality profile of Obama."

That concludes this edition. Submit your blog article to the next edition of nobama blog carnival using our carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on our blog carnival index page.
